Sarah joined the MaPS Board on 11 August 2025. She brings with her 30 years of leadership from across the charity grant-making and public sectors. She currently leads the Cripplegate Foundation, focusing on poverty and inequality.
Sarah’s appointment has been made by the Minister for Pensions, Torsten Bell.
Non-Executive members of the MaPS Board are responsible for providing oversight, support and challenge to the MaPS Executive team, led by CEO Oliver Morley CBE.
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm’s length body of the Department of Work and Pensions, committed to ensuring that people throughout the UK have the guidance and information they need to make effective financial decisions over their lifetime.
The MaPS Board is chaired by Sara Weller CBE, and includes NEDs Marlene Shiels, Monica Kalia, Simon Hamilton, Jaspal Dhillon, Richard Harvey, Oliver Morley CBE, Chief Financial Officer Mal Singh, and Executive Director for Customer Delivery Zoe Burns-Shore.
