Vacancy Description
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust provide mental health, learning disability, and autism services to people across Greater Manchester and beyond. We have three exciting opportunities:
1. Non-Executive Director with the ability to chair our performance and finance committee – £15,000 per annum (for 4-6 days per month)
2. Non-Executive Director with the experience to be designated as Senior Independent Director – £15,000 per annum (for 4-6 days per month), with an additional £2,000 per annum for the Senior Independent Director role designation
3. Associate Non-Executive Director to speak up for younger service users – £7,500 per annum
For all three positions we welcome diverse and fresh perspectives, innovative and inclusive thinkers. You will bring to life our values as you promote high standards of integrity and corporate governance, ensuring that quality, finance, and operational demands are held in balance.
We welcome applications from people from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) community looking to take the next step in their career, utilising skills associated with strategic business management and working with others to govern and lead as part of a Board.
Person Specification
For the first the Non-Executive Director appointment, we are seeking an experienced director with significant Board experience in a complex organisation. Candidates should have knowledge of NHS structures too, and have the credibility to step into the critical role of our Senior Independent Director.
For the second Non-Executive Director appointment, we are interested in hearing from individuals who have substantial experience of performance management or financial management and the appreciation of the digital agenda in order to step into chairing the performance and finance Committee. Interested candidates do not require an accountancy qualification.
For the Associate Non-Executive Director role, we would particularly welcome applications from young people, who need not have held a Board position previously. This role would be especially attractive to candidates who have an ability to bring perspectives of young service users, who may have living experience of mental health services, or who may be neuro diverse.
