Vacancy Description
North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) are seeking two new non-executive directors to join us on the next phase of our transformational journey, improving health outcomes for over 4.3million people across North East London, Essex, Kent and Medway.
At NELFT we put patients and service users at the heart of service delivery. We want to ensure our organisation is accessible to patients, communities, staff and partners and, therefore, we foster an environment of transparency and active community engagement at board level. We deliver our services with pride in an area with significant social and economic deprivation, and we work hard to address those factors that have historically adversely impacted those we serve. To achieve this goal, we continuously strive to improve the wellbeing of our staff, and create an organisation where people want to work, feel valued, included and empowered.
Person Specification
We are an ambitious organisation and need experienced non-executive directors who share our ambition and can bring a good understanding of governance, strategy and leadership. In terms of specific skills, we are looking for individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic finance, senior commercial/innovation, and clinical experience – ideally as a nurse or GP. Beyond this, you will live our values and be authentic, collaborative, emotionally intelligent and have a passion for social justice.
