Vacancy Description
We are looking for someone who can provide us with the perspective of an ordinary member of the public. You will attend quarterly meetings of the Strategic Management Board, help develop, monitor and evaluate MAPPA in South Yorkshire and act as an independent observer in risk management meetings about individual offenders.
Person Specification
- Are you interested in public protection?
- Can you spare up to 8 hours per month (during normal working hours) to act as a “critical friend” to South Yorkshire MAPPA?
- Have you the confidence to constructively challenge professionals working in the police, probation service, social services and other local agencies as they go about the difficult business of managing dangerous offenders?
- Do you live in South Yorkshire?
