Vacancy Description
L1899
We are looking for an exceptional individual to chair Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) and take a lead role in the development of integrated care across Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow. This is a unique opportunity to lead the Trust in providing high quality, sustainable community services to its patients mainly across the London boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond, but also to a wider group of the population across south London and developing the role of community services within integrated care systems at a neighbourhood and place level across SWL and NWL Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) . By sharing your talents and expertise in this role, you would be able to help transform this vital service and make a positive difference to your community.
Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) is the NHS trust responsible for providing community health services for over 515,000 people living across the London boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond-upon-Thames.
As the local NHS community services provider, HRCH plays a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of local people across the London boroughs of Hounslow, Richmond, and the wider environs of South London. With a strong emphasis on partnership working, around 1000 professional and clerical staff deliver holistic healthcare services without boundaries or borders, with an increased focus on collaborating with GPs, commissioners, local NHS partner organisations in the North West and South West London ICSs and patients, carers and patient groups.
Community health services cover most care services provided outside of acute hospitals or GP surgeries, ‘cradle-to-grave’ services that many of us take for granted. Staff provide a wide range of care for local people; from supporting patients and the public to manage their health and wellbeing generally to managing long-term conditions and to treating those who are seriously ill with more complex conditions.
Person Specification
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their understanding of the vision for health and care as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan and can work as a leader within a system as well as an organisation and wants to use their energy, skills and experience to help drive the delivery of sustainable health and care services for local communities.
We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all and appointments made on merit. We believe that the best boards are those that reflect the communities they serve.
We particularly welcome applications from women, people from the local black and minority ethnic communities, and disabled people who we know are under-represented in chair and non-executive roles.
Our recruitment processes are conducted in accordance with the Code of Governance to ensure that they are made on merit after a fair and open process so that the best people, from the widest possible pool of candidates, are appointed.
