Vacancy Description

The Trust is particularly looking to recruit individuals who have recent accounting or finance experience at a senior level. Non-executive Directors work alongside the Chair and the Board of directors and contribute to the setting of the strategic direction, ensure effective governance and compliance within the Trust. As part of the role they oversee financial information to make sure financial controls and risk management systems are robust and operate within the highest standards of probity and value for money.

The role is much wide than this however and there are vacancies for two Non-executive Directors at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people served by the Trust. The Trust is committed to creating a culture where equality, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of the organisation and the responsibility of everyone at the Trust.

The Trust is on a journey to being an ‘outstanding’ Trust and the role of the Non-executive Director in this is vitally important to support, challenge, provide independent judgement and advice and influence the Trust to embed the necessary cultural change necessary to achieve this.
