An announcement has been made on the outcome of this appointment.
The Minister for Defence People, Veterans and Service Families has appointed Mr Alan Hamilton as Interim Chair to the Scotland Veterans Advisory and Pensions Committee from 24 November 2022. This was done under section 3.3 of the Governance Code on Public Appointments in order to provide leadership of the Committee until a new substantive Chair can be appointed. The interim arrangement will be for a period of five months, until 25 April 2023, or will end sooner, if a substantive Chair can be appointed earlier.
