An announcement has been made on the outcome of this appointment.
The Minister for Defence People and Veterans has appointed Jeffrey Spencer as Interim Chair to the South West Veterans Advisory and Pensions Committee from 26 July 2022, following the departure of the substantive Chair. This was done under section 3.3 of the Governance Code on Public Appointments in order to provide leadership of the Committee until a new substantive Chair can be appointed. The interim arrangement will be for a period of 9 months, until 25 April 2023, or will end sooner, if a substantive Chair can be appointed earlier.
