NHS ENGLAND – NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENTS Sir David Behan has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of NHS England from 1 September 2022 until 31 December 2023. Sir Andrew Morris’ term of appointment as a Non-Executive Director of NHS England has been extended until 24 March 2025. The appointments will involve a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per month. Remuneration for the roles will be at a rate of £7,883 per annum. In line with the Governance Code on public appointments, the Department consulted the Commissioner for Public Appointments on the direct appointment of Sir David Behan and the extension of Sir Andrew Morris’ appointment term. The Commissioner was content. The appointments are made on merit and political activity played no part in the decision process. However, in accordance with the Code, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. Sir David Behan and Sir Andrew Morris have not declared any political activity.
