An announcement has been made on the outcome of this appointment.
Following the resignation of Martin Thomas as chair of NHS Resolution from 28 January, Mike Pinkerton has been appointed as interim chair of NHS Resolution from 29 January 2022 until 31 March 2022. Mike currently serves as a non-executive director and senior independent director on the NHS Resolution board.
The role requires a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per week and remuneration for the role is £63,000 a year.
In accordance with the Code of Governance for Public Appointments, the department consulted the Commissioner for Public Appointments on the interim appointment. Also in accordance with the Code, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity to be made public. Mike Pinkerton has not declared any political activity.
