Announcement
An announcement has been made on the outcome of this appointment.
The appointment of Laura Wade-Gery as Chair of NHS Digital (NHSD) has been extended for 12 months with effect from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.
The appointment will continue to involve a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per week. Remuneration for the role will be at a rate of £63,000 per year.
The appointment was made in line with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments. The regulation of public appointments against the requirements of this code is carried out by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Laura’s extension follows consultation with the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
In accordance with the Code, there is a requirement for an appointee’s political activity (if any is declared) to be made public. Laura Wade-Gery has not declared any political activity.
