Vacancy Description
We are looking for an exceptional leader to chair Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT). This is a unique opportunity to lead the Board of Directors as it works to continue the improvement journey of the Trust. By sharing your talents and expertise in this role, you will be helping us continue our work to provide vital mental health and social care services.
KMPT is proud of what it has achieved in the last few years and is looking for an experienced and confident individual who, as chair, will continue to drive cultural change across the organisation and the wider health system. The Trust has developed strong partnerships across Kent and Medway and the wider NHS landscape and the new chair will be pivotal to ensuring the Trust maintains and strengthens these relationships. The new chair will also support the Trust’s wide range of local, regional and national initiatives to help secure the provision of the best possible sustainable mental healthcare services for the people of Kent and Medway.
Person Specification
We are looking for candidates who want to use their energy, skills and experience to help drive the delivery of sustainable mental healthcare services for the people of Kent, and some surrounding areas.
We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all and appointments made on merit. We believe that the best boards are those that reflect the communities they serve. We particularly welcome applications from women, people from the local black and minority ethnic communities, and disabled people who we know are under-represented in chair and non-executive roles. Our recruitment processes are conducted in accordance with the Code of Governance to ensure that they are made on merit after a fair and open process so that the best people, from the widest possible pool of candidates, are appointed.
