NHS Improvement is pleased to announce the appointment of Melloney Poole as Chair of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust from 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2021. Mrs Poole will receive a remuneration of £40,000 per annum.

We are recruiting a Chair for Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Portsmouth Hospitals by sharing your talents and expertise to help transform the Trust and make a positive difference to your community.
Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of acute services at the Queen Alexandra Hospital that are vitally important to the people of Portsmouth and the surrounding area. The Chair will provide the leadership needed to secure improved healthcare services for patients and the local community and be responsible for ensuring that the Trust makes the most of the impetus and fresh perspectives provided by its new leadership team to address the strategic challenges it faces.

- Stakeholder engagement: There will be a stakeholder event between 12.30 and 4pm on 20 September 2017 at the Trust HQ, Queen Alexandra Hospital. The short-listed candidates will be invited to meet key stakeholders ahead of the panel interview to discuss how they will approach the role and find out more about the Trust, its goals and values. Feedback from these sessions will be given to the panel.
