Independent Reconfiguration Panel (IRP) – members

The appointments of Professor Simon Brake, Luke March, Rajesh Khanna, Rohan Sivanandan and Suzy Walton as members of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel were extended for 1 year from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.

In addition, Tansi Harper and Graham Jagger have been re-appointed as members of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel for 3 years from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2026.

These roles will continue to involve a time commitment of 1 to 2 days per month, and remuneration at £300 per day.

These appointments are made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments. The regulation of public appointments against the requirements of this Code is carried out by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.

These appointments are made on merit and political activity played no part in the decision process. However, in accordance with the Code, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. None of the appointees have declared any political activity.

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) – interim co-chairs

Amanda Calvert, Graham Cooke and Michael Whitehouse have been appointed as interim co-chairs of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) from 12 July 2023 and until we recruit a new Chair of the MHRA.

The Chair appointment involves a time commitment of around 3 days per week, for a remuneration of £63k per annum. The time commitment and remuneration will be split across the interim three co-chairs.
