Joanne Livingstone reappointed as Chair for Firefighters’ Pension Scheme Advisory Board (FPSAB).
Joanne Livingstone has been reappointed as Chair of the Fire Pension Scheme Advisory Board for a term of 5 years, from 17 August 2025 to 16 August 2030.
Joanne Livingstone will serve as Chair of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme Advisory Board, which provides strategic advice to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). In this role, she will play a pivotal part in ensuring the Board fulfils its responsibilities in line with the Public Service Pensions Act 2013, the legislation governing the Firefighters' Pension Scheme, and the Pensions Regulator’s Code of Practice.
The board advises and assists the 44 Fire and Rescue services in England and their local pension boards.
Joanne Livingstone
Mrs Livingstone is currently a professional pension trustee. She chairs trustee boards for schemes in the insurance and university sectors. Previous experience in the public sector includes a number of years working as a pension consultant to the Judicial Pensions Committee which advised the Lord Chief Justice in relation to pensions matters.
She worked for many years as a scheme actuary and was a practitioner member of the Actuarial Council of the FRC. She also worked as a guider for Pension Wise, conducting face-to-face meetings about pensions with members of the public.
